Our History.

The Start

The Story of Portland Covenant Church begins with about a dozen people meeting in the home of our founder Henry Greenidge in 1988. A skilled preacher and gifted musician, he had a vision of a church that would be a welcoming environment where any and everyone would feel at home.  A true “Grace Place.”

Over the years the people have changed but the vision still remains. Portland Covenant strives to be a place where all people from all backgrounds can come together and experience the love of God.
